Suzuki’s New Maxi Scooter The Burgman 400
Suzuki’s new luxury maxi scooter, the Burgman 400, is now available in dealerships and promises to improve journeys into towns and cities, with sharp styling, sporty handling, and increased practicality thanks to its storage capacity and added security features.
Suzuki invented the maxi scooter when it launched the original Burgman 400 in 1998, and ever since it has been the choice of scooter riders, from the fashion conscious to the frugal.
The newest iteration of the Burgman 400 gets a classy restyling, with a sharp, upswept design and new LED headlights, position lights, and tail lights.
Sporty handling compliments the new looks, courtesy of a larger front wheel, new suspension, and a weight reduction of an impressive 7kg.
But it also boasts high levels of practicality, with a fuel economy figure of 71mpg and under seat storage of 42 litres.
Up front there are two additional storage components, totalling 6.3 litres, with one housing a 12V DC outlet, ideal for charging phones or satnav devices.
For riders requiring additional storage, there’s also a top box available as a genuine accessory.
With its impressive spec levels, the Burgman 400 is the ideal tool for carving through city traffic and commuting into the city centre, saving you valuable journey time and making you happier in the process.
Another added benefit is the amount of free parking available to scooters and motorcycles in town.
With the Burgman, you can also park with added peace of mind, the new maxi scooter boasting added security features such as an immobiliser, that uses an electronic identification system in the owner’s key to prevent unauthorised starting of the engine, while a magnetic cover protects the ignition switch for added security, and will only open with the owner’s key.
A built-in chain lock gate also allows owners to pass a chain lock through the bodywork when parked, which can loop around a lamppost or other immovable object.
And while a study by the Office for National Statistics might have found that those who commute on two wheels are happier, the bit about the new Burgman 400 most likely to make you smile is its affordability.
With an RRP of £6,299, on Suzuki’s Flexible Finance Scheme, and as part of a PCP deal, the Burgman 400 can be enjoyed for just £44.40 per month over three years, with a final repayment of £3,120 and deposit of £2,500.
For those who prefer a hire purchase deal, the same deposit means the Burgman 400 can be yours for £121.39 per month, also over three years, with no final repayment.
